Pria bernama lengkap Robert Thomas-Pattinson ini terlahir di London, Inggris pada tanggal 13 Mei 1986. Ibunya bernama Clare yg bekerja d sebuah Modeling Agency. Dan ayahnya Richard, pengimpor mobil vintage di America. Rob mempunyai dua orang kakak.
Masa kecilnya, Hollywood Heartthrob dikenal sebagai trouble maker dan dikeluarkan dari sekolah pada usia 12 tahun dan pernah mengaku dalam wawancara bahwa dia mempunyai perilaku sangat buruk. Pada usia 15, baru dia menemukan bakat untuk berakting setelah bergabung dengan “Barnes Theatre Company” di London, dan dia berakting pertama kali walau masih amatir. Tapi siapa tau kalau setelah itu Edward mnyusup masuk kekamar Bella setelah pamit dengan Charlie. Dalam seri ini diceritakan kebimbangan Bella dlm memilih cinta, cintanya yg begitu dalam kepada Edward atau rasa sayangnya kepada Jacob Black yang menemaninya saat Edward meniggalkannya. Disatu sisi Bella dikejar-kejar oleh Victoria yang dendam kepada Edward yg telah membunuh kekasihnya, James [mati saat seri pertama]. Victoria membuad pasukan vampir untuk membalaskan dendamnya kepada keluarga Cullen dan membunuh Bella. Mengetahui hal itu keluarga Cullen membuat rencana. Tapi, karena vampir baru yg dihadapi sangat banyak dan masih liar merekapun harus bekerja sama dengan para wefewolf yg beranggotakan Jacob dan kawan-kawan. Meskipun hampir saja terjadi insiden terhadap Bella tapi Edward dapat mengatasinya. Dan mereka da membasmi Victoria dan pasukannya. Pada saat yang sama Jane dan beberapa pengawal Volturi datang yang awalnya ingin membereskan vampir-vampir baru itu bersama penciptanya,Victoria. Tapi apa daya kalau semua sudah beres ditangan keluarga Cullen dan paa wefewolf. Akhirnya mereka pulang dengan tangan kosong. Forks pun telah aman, dan saatnya Bella harus menentukan pilihannya.
